Being Men

Being Men is a New Zealand Rugby (NZR) video series that explores wellbeing, healthy relationships, and masculinity from the perspective of New Zealand men.

Created by filmmaker Sarah Grohnert, and in collaboration with NZR, the videos feature men from different walks of life, including former and current rugby players, as they reflect on the environments and relationships that have shaped them.

Tough Times

This video explores some of the challenges we can all face with our mental wellbeing. The men share their experiences and the strategies they’ve used to cope with, and overcome, tough times.

Asking for help

The men share their experiences when it comes to asking for and accepting help and how talking to others can have a positive impact on wellbeing.

What’s it like to fall in and out of love? How do we grow great relationships, how do we look after them and how do we know when it’s time to end a relationship?

We need to talk

This video explores how we can talk more to each other about our relationships. How can we challenge if something isn’t right and what are the benefits to doing this for our lives?
