Rest to reset

A good night’s sleep allows our mind to rest and helps us be better prepared to face the day’s challenges. Check out how below.

Get enough

Most adults need at least 7-9 hours of sleep a night and for young people its closer to 11.

Be consistent

Try and stick to the same sleep and wake times during the week and on weekends. This will help regulate your body clock and make it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep at night.

Limit devices

The light from our phones and the TV keeps our minds active and awake. Try limit devices an hour before sleep.

Be smart with naps

Naps during the day aren’t a bad thing, so long as you have them at the right time. Try and limit your naps to 20-30 minute bursts.

Avoid caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant and can disrupt your sleep. Try and avoid consuming caffeine after 2pm.

Keep it cool

Most people struggle with poor sleep if their bedroom is too hot. Aim to keep your room under 20°C.
