Being able to scan for the positives is a skill that we can actually train our brains to be better at. This is called practicing gratitude. Check out how below.

Write it down

Buy yourself a journal, or use the notes section on your phone to write down three things daily that have happened that you’re grateful for.

Ask yourself

Try asking yourself the questions “what am I grateful for today?” or “what’s something that went well for me today?” to help prompt your mind to scan for the positives. 

Verbalise it

Pick a mate or family member and make a habit of sharing a highlight of your day or week, you can hold them accountable and vice versa.
